This course provides a comprehensive introduction to information technology and information systems
concepts. Students will learn the importance of modern information technologies in the workplace. The course
covers technology resources of the digital age such as computer software, hardware, and telecommunication
systems. In addition, database technology, database systems applications, website construction, and internet
technology applications are covered. Students also will learn how to increase productivity through the
integrated use of multiple software applications and spreadsheets. Computer lab work is required for teaching
and assessment.

ISOM120 - Information Technology
Note that the Flash versions of the lectures are much smaller but do not always play when viewed with Internet
Explorer on Windows Vista. They work fine with Firefox on Vista and Firefox/IE on XP. Alternatively, you can
view the AVI files which play with any media player. They do take longer to download, though. The latest
tutorials are WMV files which are much smaller and should play in the browser and through any media player.
